August 2015.
Mike and Jodie attended the Annual affinia Advisers conference in Fiji in August.
What a great week! We learnt allot, relaxed a little and gave back to the local Community!
We were proud to join a team of over 100 Affinia Advisers who pitched in and painted a local school – Batiri School.
We heard from some inspiring speakers, two stand outs were Matina Jewell and Paul Taylor. You can learn more about Matina and Paul here:

What an achievement! Jodie was very proud to receive the Affinia Emerging Gun Award 2015 at the Annual Advisers Conference in Fiji.
Affinia general manager Craig Parker said the annual Affinia awards – which are given to advisers within the dealer group’s network – are a reflection of advisers’ talent and “commitment to the professionalism of the industry”.
Jodie was stoked to receive the Emerging Gun Award and recognition for her efforts in the first 2 years of Business!

Jodie was very fortunate to be part of a contingent from TAL who were privileged to attend the Dai-ichi Life Sales Conference in Yokohama, Japan. Representatives from Affinia were David Gates (Council Chairman) and Award-winners Sacha Burchgart, Jodie Douglas and Peter Blassis. It was a truly unforgettable, once in a lifetime trip!
I am 35 and live in Biggera Waters with my husband and 7 month old daughter. I have recently joined Mad About Life Risk Advice as an Administration / Client Services Officer. I think I will fit in quite well with the team as I am equally Mad About Life!
My family and I love getting out and about often as possible and regularly go camping, fishing, 4wding and stand up paddle boarding. This photo was taken this past Queen’s birthday long weekend at Patchs Beach, South Ballina where we braved the cold and camped in a tent.
So a little bit more about me.... Prior to having a baby I owned and operated a mobile coffee van for a year and a half. This was a refreshing change of lifestyle from the fly in fly out WA mining industry which I worked in for the 7 years prior.
My husband and I moved to the Gold Coast around 4 years ago from Perth, Western Australia. This was the best decision ever made as there is so much to do and see here. The climate is fantastic and being surrounded by so many canals, rivers, islands and beaches there is always something fun to do.
